FORCE Comments on Unused Pharmaceutical Bill PDF Print E-mail
The DC Council is considering legislation to reduce the amount of pharmaceuticals entering District streams and rivers.  People sometimes flush unused pills, and these can enter Rock Creek through leaks in the District's aging sewer system or combined sewer overflows.  Councilmember David Catania has introduced a bill to provide for safe disposal of unused pills.  Click here to read FORCE's letter of support for the bill.  It was scheduled for a Council vote on December 1.
