Beth Mullin, Executive Director
Beth first joined FORCE as a volunteer working to protect her local creek, the Pinehurst Branch tributary of Rock Creek. She became the FORCE Executive Director in October 2007. She is an environmental attorney with a law degree from New York University and a masters degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She has worked for the Natural Resources Defense Council in New York, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Denver, and the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, DC. She and her husband, Jim Sandman, have two children, whom she relentlessly seeks to recruit for Rock Creek outings and projects.
Sara Henchey Brosnan, Intern/Communications Team Member
Sara joined FORCE as an intern in June of 2009 to work on content development for the new and improved website. Now that the website is up and running, she is pleased to be part of ongoing work to improve the website as well as to be assisting FORCE as a member of its Communications Team. She has an undergraduate degree in environmental science and policy from Hampshire College and a master's degree in water resource management from the University of New Mexico. She's currently looking for work with either a government agency or nonprofit group.
